Keith Sharp

Engineering Manager

Keith Sharp graduated from RMIT in Melbourne as a Chemical Engineer in 1986, working for Mobil Oil Australia for ten years in operational and design roles before joining TFA Project Group in 1997 where he is currently Engineering Manager. During ten years with Mobil Oil Australia he worked in Terminals Engineering and Operations at Yarraville Terminal, Central Engineering, Altona Refinery and as JUHI Manager at Tullamarine Airport.

Since joining TFA Keith has designed and project managed major fuel terminals, lubricant plants, bitumen plants, aviation fuel farms and hydrants, mining fuel and lubricant tank farms, and Defence Force facilities. Over the last 20 years he has worked extensively in bioenergy, biofuels and hydrogen, visiting numerous international biorefineries, bio-digestion plants and biofuels conferences. Keith was lead process engineer for the design of Australia’s first grain to ethanol plant at Dalby and has led numerous biofuels project feasibility studies. He has published industry reports, a number of white papers and is a recognised authority on biofuels, and a regular speaker at biofuels and bioenergy conferences.

Keith is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Australia, IChemE and the Australian Institute of Energy. He is a registered professional engineer in Queensland and nationally and Chair of the Engineers Australia Chemical College Board. Keith is chair of the Queensland committee of the Australasian Institute of Dangerous Goods Consultants. He is experienced and accredited in hazardous areas classification and an experienced HAZOP facilitator.
