TFA was formally engaged by Bundaberg Regional Council to assist in the research and development of the council’s Biofutures policy and program development.
TFA spent several days in Bundaberg interviewing local manufacturers, growers and businesses to establish potential waste feedstocks that could be used for the manufacture of new bioproducts within the region.
The study included a review of biotechnology options, technical readiness levels and their commercial readiness, a review of regional infrastructure, identification of potential sites for biofutures development and promising biofutures pathways for the region.
