The Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex (CDSCC) is part of NASA’s Deep Space Network, a global network that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions exploring the Solar System and beyond. CSIRO manage this facility on behalf of NASA.
TFA were engaged by CSIRO to design a new back-up diesel storage facility within the CDSCC. This involved close liaison with the NASA/JPL team in the USA to ensure that strict guidelines and procedures were followed in addition to the relevant Australian standards.
TFA drew from its extensive expertise in the design and layout of fuel storage systems to assist CDSCC in this important project.
