From humble beginnings to global capabilities

Over the years we have primarily serviced the downstream oil industry, renewable energy, retail fuel and convenience and dangerous goods / hazardous industries on a multitude of projects. We hold a commitment to service these projects from concept to completion and developed our core disciplines of project management, town planning, design and engineering to meet this commitment. We maintain a strong ethos in applying design and value engineering solutions to our projects through our expert industry knowledge developed over time.

In the early 2000’s, TFA’s passion for bio-fuels became a reality with our engagement as the lead design / engineering consultancy on the Dalby Bio-Refinery project. This project was fundamental to Australia’s renewable energy future as it was the first grain-to-ethanol refinery to be built in Australia. TFA’s expertise developed in this area, coupled with our general passion and commitment for bio-fuels and renewable energy projects, paved the way for many and varied projects to follow from further feasibility studies into ethanol and bio-fuels to more recent projects in hydrogen refuelling facilities, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel.

In 2012, TFA expanded into Sydney and then Melbourne (2013) and Perth (2018) to provide a true national consultancy service to our clients.

In 2016, TFA entered a new phase of growth where a new Board of Directors was formed, made up of six committed, long-term employees of TFA in a successful transition led by Tam Faragher as founding Director.

From import pipelines and bulk liquid storage at Ports to modern service station designs incorporating a variety of refuelling and re-charging options.
